Corporate event agency Eventurous won the regional award for Excellence in Hospitality, Retail and Events, at the Greater Birmingham Chamber of Commerce Awards in February, taking the title from top names such as Selfridges!
The local awards welcomed 1200 attendees from enterprises in and around Birmingham and offered 12 awards covering a wide range of categories such as Wellbeing, Sustainability, Contribution to the Community, People and Development, Manufacturing, Sales and Marketing, Technology and Innovation, Third Sector and Training and Education.
2025 was the first year that Eventurous attended after the team decided to celebrate their consecutive record-breaking years and 60% growth in recent years in the face of industry change and economic setbacks.
There to redeem the award, Director Joe Garland and Operations Manager Aaron Stone headed to the stage in awe of the surprise recognition. The award, sponsored by Translift Bendi, was handed out following the judge’s comments and applause around Eventurous and their commitment to supporting Birmingham businesses by inviting them to collaborate on corporate event projects. The judges were equally amazed by the agency’s dedication to people and the planet.
Joe Garland said, “We are proud of our passionate and caring team and all they have achieved in the last three years. We didn’t expect to win with it being our first time attending. Truthfully, sometimes we are guilty of seeing ourselves as a small team building company, but the reality is that we’ve worked incredibly hard to grow the team from 3 to 23 and to go on to be recognised as one of the best event agencies in the UK, winning 8 industry awards last year. To receive this award in front of a room of outstanding local businesses and professionals gives us great honour and we’re so grateful for the support!”
Joe continued, “It’s been such a pleasure to share this achievement with some industry partners such as Edgbaston Park Hotel and to see them being recognised for their positive impact on Sustainability within the Birmingham business community.”
